The Nutrition Care Patient Services Manager coordinates food and nutrition services while serving as a liaison between nursing staff, clinical dietetics staff and the Nutrition Care department. Primary responsibilities include directing the nutrition and food services activities of the patient care units and coordinating activities related to menu development, analysis, distribution and revision. The incumbent provides consultation to nutrition and food service staff on clinical nutrition, menu related issues, and interpretations of regulatory standards, implements and maintains cost-control and quality performance procedures, and maintains professional competency and skills required for professional practice.

Qualifications

Qualifications Required

• Bachelor’s Degree in Clinical Nutrition, Food service Management, or related area.
• Registered Dietician with active registration by the Commission on Dietetic Registration of the America Dietetic Association.
• One year of experience in clinical dietetics, research or education.
• Three years of experience in food service management.
• Completion of a didactic program in dietetics and supervised practice program approved by the Commission on Accreditation for Dietetics Education (CADE) of the American Dietetic Association.

Licenses Required

• Registered Dietitian with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
• Current License to practice as a Certified Dietitian in the State of Utah.
